We will begin posting more as we get through this hangover… As for next year? We’ll let you know!
’twas the Night Before Santa Crawl, and all thru Reno,
every place was a-buzz, all ready to go.
The stockings were sexy on the thighs of the fair,
in hopes that Santa Crawl soon would be there.
The barkeeps were nestled, all snug on their beds,
While visions of Santas crawled in their heads.
And Abby in her ‘kerchief, and Budweiser on tap,
Jello Shots at 3rd Street, and a Big Santa map.
Pizza Reno on Second, and Waterfall, too,
Lincoln Lounge on East 4th, Freight House is new.
The Ole Bridge is down, and Imperial is in,
Divine and Se7en, all in for the win.
There’s Doc Holliday’s, West Second, and the El Cortez Lounge,
Five Star and Louis’ and the Jungles abound.
An Awful Awful at the Nugget and there’s Sierra’s Tap House,
The Bars in the Legacy will get you quite soused.
Sapphire at Harrah’s and Zone21 are their two,
10 years of Shooters, first year for Spread Peace, Wo-Hoo!
After Wurk, there’s Tonic, and drinks on the river,
Santa Crawlin’ til dawn will surely tax your liver.
Cal Neva and Circus and the bars therein,
Eldorado has Brew Brothers, Roxy and Cin Cin.
Come Tomorrow Night, and you’ll have quite a blast,
For tomorrow is Saturday, Santa Crawl’s here at last.
So get on your costumes, and don that Afro,
It’s almost time, get ready, get set… and GO!
Don’t be too naughty, or for that matter, too nice,
The Santa Crawl is upon us, so say with me thrice…
Have no fear, Silver Legacy Resort Casino will help guide you to all the bars, pubs and clubs on the Santa Crawl list this year! The new Silver Legacy iPhone App now features a map of all the stops along the 2010 crawl route to help save paper and avoid getting lost.
Silver Legacy hopes people will ditch their paper maps and use this helpful iPhone App, which is free to download from the App store. Launched today, Santa Crawlers have time to check the route and plan stops before they go out and about this Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
The Santa Crawl is an annual charity event that brings out hundreds of people dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer and more. Crawlers make their way around downtown Reno in groups, stopping at participating establishments—as noted on the map—to drink and be merry. An estimated $5,000 in proceeds will be given to DonorsChoose.org, an online charity supporting children’s classroom initiatives around the country. The climax of the evening takes place at midnight as Crawlers gather under the Reno Arch to sing Christmas carols.
Launched in early October, Silver Legacy’s iPhone App gives users all the 2010 Santa Crawl information in the palm of their hand and also includes all the features Silver Legacy’s website provides. Not only can the iPhone App use GPS to calculate your location, it can also give you the specials at the closest on-property bar. $2 Bud Light and $3 Kamikazes will be available to Crawlers at participating Silver Legacy bars all night long.
Silver Legacy’s iPhone App also gives users the ability to instantly make dinner reservations, buy concert tickets and take virtual tours of their rooms before making reservations. It also directly links to social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Impressive GPS features also make the Silver Legacy iPhone App handy for those using their mobile devices on property by sending specials directly to the phone.
For more information on the Santa Crawl and Silver Legacy’s iPhone App, visit HYPERLINK “http://www.silverlegacy.com” www.silverlegacy.com or the Apple Store or call 775-329-4777. You can also find details on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. See you at the Crawl!
(Rein)Deer Nice & Naughty Crawlers,
Thank you so much for Supporting the Claus! With nearly 40 stops on the Crawl, and the expectation of 5,000 Crawlers, this year is proving to be the largest Reno Santa Pub Crawl EVER!
Over the past 12 months, my team of Little Helpers have been working hard to bring you the 10th Santa Crawl. So please, while you’re out there, wassailing, let’s try to keep things under control. Be respectful of each other and the fine establishments that have opened their hearts and doors to Support the Claus this year. Many of which have been doing that since our humble beginning.
Since the first Crawl in 2000, we have had very few police related incidents. There have been no reported DUIs due to the Crawl. No fights. No destruction. No Riots. No reason for the the police or the city to want to shut us down.
Help us maintain that record and credibility, and keep an eye out for fellow Crawlers.
You’re the reason the Reno Santa Pub Crawl is such a huge success and has become one of the largest gatherings of Santas in the United States. We have people traveling from all around the world to attend this and rumor has it that the San Francisco Santa Crawl adjusted their dates so they could attend the Reno Crawl. Let’s give them all something to remember!
Please, don’t drink and drive. There is no excuse…the Silver Legacy has a special rate for Crawlers. I’m sure you can find a group of friends and distribute the cost. Be Safe. Drink responsibly. Just because it’s cheap, doesn’t mean you have to have one more. And be Smart. Remember, it’s all for Charity.
Happy Crawl, Crawlers!
